As part of the BC Patient Safety and Quality Council’s Quality Forum (May 31 – June 2, 2022), the JCC Pre-Forum is an annual event hosted by the Joint Collaborative Committees (JCCs), a partnership of Doctors of BC and BC Government.
For more than 20 years, the JCCs have worked to improve BC’s health care system with government, health authorities, and patients and their families to make a difference. The JCCs bring together health care stakeholders through the:
Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues
General Practice Services Committee
Shared Care Committee
Specialist Services Committee
Funding and support from the committees enables the Rural Coordination Centre of BC, divisions of family practice, and medical staff associations to enhance patient care and improve professional satisfaction for doctors in BC.
All doctors across BC are invited to the JCC Pre-Forum.
BC physicians, along with other health care professionals and front-line workers, have been a critical and essential part of the COVID-19 response across the province. They have taken a toll that is immeasurable.
Looking ahead to a post-pandemic world, this year’s Pre-Forum theme is Regroup, Reflect & Evolve: Strengthening our Community of Caring.
Event participants will experience a mix of presentations –from rapid fire and workshops to keynote addresses.
Through the JCCs, up to 250 practicing physicians who attend the JCC Pre-Forum on May 31, 2022 can receive remuneration for:
– Costs to cover registration, accommodations, and travel to attend the BCPSQC’s Quality Forum from May 31, 2022 to June 2, 2022; doctors must attend the JCC Pre-Forum.
– Sessional payment for attending the Pre-Forum.
When completing the registration form, physicians can access this funding by entering the discount code QF22-JCC to waive all associated registration fees and entering their MSP number to verify eligibility.
Physicians who registered using the QF22-JCC discount code will be sent a sessional form once registration closes; they can claim sessional time, expenses, and travel on the sessional form.
To book hotel guest room at the Hyatt Regency, Vancouver at a discounted rate, physicians can use this link or call 1.800.233.1234 and quote “Quality Forum 2022” by May 9, 2022.
The discounted nightly rate starts at $259 CAD, plus applicable taxes and fees. Please note that the room block may fill in advance of this deadline.
For questions or comments, please email the JCCs.
As there are currently no event restrictions in BC, we are pleased that the JCC Pre-Forum will be held in-person this year. While there are no mandates in place, masks are strongly suggested, especially in high traffic areas, and social distance measures are encouraged. Please note that attendees do not need to show proof of vaccination to attend the event.
