This upcoming webinar, hosted by UBC CPD and the Joint Collaborative Committees (JCCs), explores the key principles of providing culturally safe care to Inuit patients, focusing on their unique cultural norms, values and communication styles.
The session will be led by Kevin Qamaniq-Mason, who has spent more than a decade advancing Inuit rights and equal access in the public and community sectors. He will guide learners to navigate cross-cultural interactions with sensitivity, awareness and cultural humility. Participants will also be introduced to tools and strategies to aid in the provision of culturally safe care.
