The General Practice Services Committee (GPSC) works on behalf of doctors to strengthen full-service family practice and patient care in BC.
Divisions of Family Practice
Divisions of Family Practice are community-based groups of family physicians working together to achieve common health care goals. Physicians that are members of their local division of family practice also work collaboratively with community partners to identify and seek to address gaps in care. There are currently 35 Divisions of Family Practice in BC that encompass more than 230 communities. Read more .
Doctors Technology Office (DTO)
The DTO provides technical and advocacy support for BC physicians with a primary focus on those who have implemented an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Read more.
Practice Support Program
The Practice Support Program is a quality improvement-focused initiative that provides a suite of evidence-based educational services and in-practice supports to improve patient care and doctor experience.
- Learning Modules – Physician-led group training sessions offered in communities throughout BC.
- Small Group Learning Sessions – Groups of doctors who meet to discuss, discover, and share learnings about locally and clinically relevant quality improvement work.
